MARYSVILLE: There is not a formal event scheduled for north county, but here's a tthat Boondocker's Restaurant in Marysville is a Democratic friend/supporter, and they have great food and lots of flat screen TV's! Visit this family-run and family-welcoming restaurant in downtown Marysville for a great dinner, housemade dessert, and assorted beer and wine.

You can always ask Shabbir if he'd indulge your political obsession by turning the TV station to one that's showing live returns! Chances are good he won't mind. As independent business owners, they would love the opportunity to serve you, and they really seem to enjoy the cameraderie as well.

YES WE DID! Now what?

After 100 years, a milestone! President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats have passed an historic package of health insurance changes. No longer will people be turned down for pre-existing conditions or dropped by their insurance company for getting sick. Accessibility to health insurance will be vastly improved, premiums will be kept affordable, the donut hole facing seniors on Medicare Part D will begin to close, and our national deficit will be reduced by $1.2 trillion over the next 20 years. That's a great start - and it couldn't have happened without you.

Will You Help Keep Our Democratic Majorities?

As important as this is for the American people, Republicans have vowed to destroy it. We've only just begun to move forward, and already they want to take us back. In Snohomish County we need all hands on deck this year to keep Senator Patty Murray, Congressman Rick Larsen and Congressman Jay Inslee in office, where they can continue to look out for our interests.

Our national Democrats aren't the only ones at risk. Republican anti-tax, pro-ineffective government extremists are trying to make gains in our state legislature as well. We have lots of hard work in front of us. While some tough choices were ultimately needed, Democrats worked hard in Olympia to prevent an all-cuts budget that would destroy state services. Now it's our turn to support them.
